Whether you're in school to become an engineer, fresh out of college or a seasoned veteran of engineering, it's great to have an arsenal of tools at your disposal. Thankfully, we've created a list of our engineer's most loved and used websites for answers, tips, and ideas. Read through and see if your favorite is in our top ten, if it's not tell us about it in the comments.

Digikey is a great resource and it is easy to use. It's one of thelargestselections of electronic components available . Ifyou are searchingparts it will show you how much is available and how much they cost for various quantities. Along with ease of use, there are several tools and technical resources for engineers that are free. Our engineer Rod Hower uses this site quite often, he mentioned that the ease of use makes it a great resource throughout his workday.

Edaboard is a great forum forelectronicsand electrical engineers. They do ask that you register to post questions and answers on their forum, but it's free. This forum allow you to post anyquestionsyou have about electronics andconnect with a community who can help you find the insights you want. There's several different way to find information throughout the site including: teardown videos, bios, groups, and general forums.

ASME is a non-profitmembershiporganization that enable collaboration, knowledge sharing, career enrichment, and skill developments across all engineering disciplines. Wow that's a mouthful, in other words, they're your go to resource for careers, industry knowledge and news, and connecting with other engineers outside of work or school. On their website, they have several different certifications, courses, standards and more to browse and review. While it's not a requirement to be a member, you do receive added benefits as a member.

Solidworks forums are a great way to learn more about solidworks and have your questions answered. There are several different groups to post your questions to and you can find answers to almost anything you are having trouble with. If you use solidworks software you can register as already owning a copy of the software, but if you're a student, maybe your school provides the programs, you can also register without the software ID.

Eng-Tips is a free forum that allows you to connect with thousands of other professional engineers to talk with other members, research and provide answers to forum questions. This forum has all type of engineering concentrations and groups to aid you in your research or questions, some of these include: chemical engineers, electrical/electronic engineers, mechanical engineers, codes, standards, certifications, and more...
